By calling any StockWaves endpoint (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Informational only — not investment advice
The Service provides data and quantitative signals for informational purposes only. Nothing it returns is investment, financial, legal, tax, or trading advice, nor an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy or sell any security, token, or other asset. You are solely responsible for your own decisions. Backtested or historical performance does not guarantee future results.
2. No warranty; provided “as is”
All data and signals are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision.
3. Data sources & intellectual property
Endpoints return StockWaves’ own derived, structured output (e.g. event classifications, sentiment scores, rankings, rotation/momentum metrics, aggregate counts and timestamps) computed from publicly available information. The Service does not redistribute third-party article text, headlines, or source links. Underlying facts are not claimed as our property. You may not use the Service to reconstruct or redistribute any third-party copyrighted content, and you are responsible for your own downstream use of the structured output.
4. Acceptable use & your compliance responsibility
Access is provided without identity verification. You are solely responsible for complying with all laws applicable to you — including securities, market-data, data-protection, privacy, export-control, and sanctions laws in your jurisdiction. You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, and you may not use it if you, or any party on whose behalf you act, are subject to applicable economic sanctions or are located in an embargoed jurisdiction.
5. No professional or fiduciary relationship
Use of the Service creates no advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, or agency relationship. The operator is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution, and does not manage assets or execute trades on your behalf.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StockWaves and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or trading losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its data. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific call(s) giving rise to the claim.
7. Changes
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Accounts and your data
Paying per call with x402 needs no account and we collect nothing about you. If you create an account to use an API key instead, we store only: the email address you verified, the keys you issue (as one-way hashes — we cannot recover a key), and a log of calls made with them (endpoint, time, status). The address is used only to send verification links. It is never sold or shared, and we send no marketing. Verification emails are delivered through Resend.
You are responsible for every call made with your keys, including calls made by agents you issue them to. Revoke a key at any time with DELETE /api/account/keys?id=…. To delete your account and remove your address from our records, send DELETE /api/account with {"confirm":"delete"} and your management key. Free credit is provided at our discretion and may be changed or withdrawn.
